CJ Cornell is a
veteran media industry executive with a long history of
creating and marketing products in cable television, broadband, and other
consumer media platforms. He has worked with companies such as Disney,
Comcast, Time Warner, Canal+, Universal Television, Sony, Microsoft and Sun,
and has led four pioneering ventures in interactive television and video on
demand. CJ's programming techniques and technology for
video on demand, and behavioral
programming are being used by some of the largest media companies in the world today.
CJ is a member of Silicom
Ventures, LLC., one of the largest Angel/Venture funds in the United States,
and sits on the board of 4 high-tech companies. He is also a university
lecturer on venture capital and entrepreneurship.
CJ Cornell holds
degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering, a master's
in business and a Ph.D. in marketing and strategy. Outside of business, CJ has practiced Martial
Arts for 21 years and has been an instructor for 8 years. He holds advanced
Black Belts in Karate, Jujitsu, Aikido and other arts. The Smithsonian
recognized CJ as one of the influential teachers and mentors of 1999.
